Why book a car to Victoria?
There is no direct train from Kingston to Victoria. Rail passengers usually change at Clapham Junction or Wimbledon, which is easy with a handbag and hard work with luggage. Victoria Coach Station is also a separate building, a few minutes' walk south of the railway station along Buckingham Palace Road.
A booked car solves both problems. It is especially useful for very early coaches, late returns after the last train and anyone travelling with children or heavy bags.
Kingston to Victoria Coach Station taxi
National Express and many European coach services leave from Victoria Coach Station, often at dawn or late at night. Our driver drops you right outside, which saves the walk from the railway station with your cases. For arrivals, tell us the coach and time and we will agree a nearby meeting point. Coaches often run late, so call us if yours is delayed.

Trains from Victoria
Southern trains run to Brighton, Eastbourne and the Sussex coast. Southeastern trains serve Kent, including Canterbury and the Medway towns. The Gatwick Express runs non-stop to the airport. For most Kingston travellers heading to the airport itself, a direct minicab from Kingston to Gatwick Airport is quicker, because it avoids central London entirely.
The route from Kingston to SW1
Victoria is about 11 miles away. The usual route takes the A3 north through Robin Hood roundabout and Roehampton to Wandsworth, then runs along the river through Battersea and over Chelsea Bridge to Victoria. On a quiet road that takes about 40 minutes. In the rush hour, allow an hour. These are typical estimates.
Because Victoria sits within the central charging zone, the daily charge applies on weekday and weekend charging hours, and we include it when we price your trip.
Drop-off points at Victoria
There are a few ways in. The main doors open onto the bus station on the north side, the Gatwick Express platforms are nearest Buckingham Palace Road, and the eastern platforms are closest to Wilton Road. Tell us your train or coach and the driver will pick the nearest legal stop.
Days out on the south coast
A sunny Saturday trip to Brighton is a Kingston classic. With children, a picnic and beach bags, a car to Victoria takes the strain out of the first leg. Book the return at the same time and the driver will meet you at the station when you get back, sandy and tired.
Theatres near Victoria
Victoria has big theatres within a short walk, including venues on Victoria Street and Wilton Road. Book a car for the show and the return for curtain down. Because stopping is restricted on Victoria Street, the driver may meet you around the corner.
Early coaches and late returns
Many National Express and European coaches leave Victoria at dawn or arrive late at night, when trains from Kingston are limited. A booked car takes you from your door to the coach station at any hour. For arrivals, send us the coach number and expected time, and the driver will track it with you.
Hotels and shows around Westminster
Victoria sits close to Westminster, Buckingham Palace and plenty of hotels. Our hotel transfer taxi runs guests between Kingston and hotels in SW1, and theatre-goers book us for the shows on Victoria Street and Wilton Road.
Choose your car
Saloons carry four passengers with two large cases. Estates give more boot room. Families can book a 6 seater taxi, and larger groups a 7 seater taxi. Child seats are available on request.
Collecting friends from the coach
Visitors arriving by coach at Victoria are often tired after a long journey. Send us the coach details and we will meet them outside the arrivals side of the coach station and bring them back to Kingston.
