We are a small Kingston team that books cars for local people. The aim has always been straightforward. Turn up on time, get you there safely and charge exactly what we said we would. The work ranges from 6am school runs and hospital appointments to midnight airport collections and big family holidays.
Our base on Park Road
You will find us at Park Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 5LS, a short walk from the Kingston Gate of Richmond Park. Drivers work right across the borough and beyond, from Norbiton, Surbiton, Tolworth and Chessington to New Malden and Wimbledon, and over the river to Teddington, Hampton Wick, Ham, Richmond, Twickenham and Thames Ditton. Every journey is booked in advance, so there is no walk-up service at the office.
The way bookings work in London
Transport for London regulates private hire. That means every trip must be booked through a licensed operator before it starts, and a driver may not pick up anyone who simply waves from the kerb. Here is what happens when you book with us.

- We confirm a fixed price and send the details by text or email
- A TfL licensed driver in a licensed car takes the job
- They arrive at the time and place you asked for
- You pay by card or cash, whichever you chose
We keep a log of every booking, with the driver, the car and the times, so there is always a record you can ask us about.
Licensing
Kingston Cab London journeys are carried out by TfL licensed private hire operators, drivers and vehicles. Our operator licence number is [TfL licence number]. Anyone can check a private hire licence on the Transport for London website.
Drivers earn their TfL licence by passing an enhanced DBS check, a medical, a topographical skills assessment and an English language requirement. Vehicles have to pass regular inspections too.
