Taxi to Chessington World of Adventures
The theme park and zoo on the Leatherhead Road is Chessington's best-known spot. On summer days, school holidays and special event nights, the queue to get into the car park can stretch back along the main road.
A booked taxi lets the family skip the parking hunt. Our driver drops you at the main entrance and collects you at an agreed time when the rides close. For bigger families or a group of friends, a 6 seater taxi or 7 seater taxi keeps everyone in one car. Book early on busy days.
Chessington North and South stations
Chessington North and Chessington South are the last two stops on the branch line from Waterloo through Tolworth. Trains are less frequent than on the main line, so a missed connection can mean a long wait. We meet trains at both stations, and a car is handy for the last stretch home with bags.
Hook and the A3 junction
Hook sits at the northern end of Chessington, where the A3 crosses Hook Road at the underpass. It is a busy junction at rush hour, and our drivers know the times to avoid it and the roads to use instead. Hook Road and the Leatherhead Road both carry plenty of buses and through traffic.
Getting to Kingston and Surbiton
Kingston town centre is around 15 minutes away, and Surbiton about ten. Chessington residents book us for shopping, appointments at Kingston Hospital, nights out and trips to the station at Surbiton for fast trains into London.
Longer journeys from KT9
Chessington is on the south side of the borough, close to the M25, which suits southbound trips. Families often book a minicab from Kingston to Gatwick Airport from here. For long-haul flights, the Kingston to Heathrow Airport taxi collects in Chessington too. For London trains, try the London Bridge taxi from Kingston.
Family and school trips
Chessington has several primary and secondary schools, and many families need help with the school run. Our school run taxi books whole terms in one go, with child seats on request.
